Pick an open area, free of sticks and stones that may puncture the floor of the tent.
Gather two small bags with ropes and stakes labeled for the tent that you are setting up (small or large)
Gather 2 large bags with poles and tent labeled for the tent that you are setting up (small or large)
Unroll the tent.
Spread the tent out
Stretch the tent all the way out and stake the 4 corners, placing the stake into the outermost loop made of blue material.
Layout the poles around the tent, so that you know where each pole goes.
Note, that the large tent has a exterior center pole that should be laid over the center of the tent. Use the large platic clips to attach the center support pole.
Put the corner post in place and stake the corners from both sides (ropes at a 90 degree angle).
With all 4 corners erected, it will look like this. On large tent, this would be a good time to adjust the exterior center pole and secure it with a stake and a rope on each side.
Now install the remainder of the exterior poles and stake each of them with a single rope and stake.
Carefully install circus poles. There is re-enforcement on the floor and roof to indicate where the pole(s) are to be placed. (Small Tent, 1 pole; Large Tent, 2 poles)
Install door poles and secure with 2 white ropes and 2 stakes.
Secure window vents.
Adjust ropes so that all poles are vertical and not leaning.

Setting up the Alaknak Tents

Pick an open area free of sticks, rocks and debris that might puncture the floor of the tent.
Gather the 4 bags (tent, poles, stakes, ropes)
Unroll the tent
Spread the tent out by grabbing the 4 corners and pulling them tight
Stake the 4 corners (use the outermost blue loops)
Place all poles next to the tent, each in the general location of where they will be installed
On the large tent, install the exterior center pole with large plastic clips
Install each of the 4 corner posts with 2 ropes and 2 stakes on each post (at a 90 degree angle)
Install each of the other posts with 1 rope and 1 stake (make sure the posts are vertical)
On the large tent, now is a good time to make sure that it is properly installed and secured with 1 rope and 1 stake on each side
Carefully install interior circus pole(s) (1 on small tent, two on large tent) placing the pole in the areas reinforced to support the pole
Install the poles in each door, securing each door with 2 white ropes and 2 stakes.
Secure the exterior window vent flaps with s-clips to the support ropes
Stand back and adjust ropes so that the tent “looks set-up right”.
**IMPORTANT** If the door screens look stressed, release some of the tension on the corner poles. The zippers should open and close easily without pulling the screens.
Stake the base of each pole and confirm that the pins are inserted into the bottom of each pole.
